Almost impossible to book a doctors appointment, you have to disclose to the reception staff what is wrong with you & then wait all day sometimes until they think it's serious enough to warrant the doctor to call you back? There is no way to contact doctors secretarys via email the online form is for "feedback & information"?There should be easier ways of doing this what was wrong with the old system? This new one stinks & it has made speaking to your own doctor almost impossible, if I want to see my own doctor my appointment could end up being a month or longer before I see my GP. It's just not good enough for me as I am disabled with spine, neck & hands damage accident at work also a war pensioner but I am in chroinc pain 24/7. I need help from my doctor.
Very compassionate team. Never had a problem seeing a Dr.
I have given 1 star, however this is 1 too many, i do not attend the doctors regularly due to having to give the Receptionist a reason for wanting an appointment, as they are not medically trained i resent this, you can not get an appointment to see a Doctor easily and as i work full time it is not easy to leave work to attend during normal office working hours, also not allowed my mobile phone on my desk so call backs from doctors is difficult, i recently had occasion to require a call back so booked it online for 11.50am and the doctor called me at 10.04am so when i called back to complain i was advised the time noted online is not the time the Doctor will call it is is just a slot and the Doctor will call when he has time, this is unacceptable when you work full time and you are not allowed to have your phone on your desk during working hours, now i remember why i don't like attending the Doctors
1 star because 0 is not an option!Called to make a non-urgent but need to be seen appointment for an ongoing chronic problem. I used to book online but discovered that this service is no longer an option. Having been triaged by a receptionist, I now have to wait for a doctor to call me back. As a dental professional, Im not certain how the one question I was asked can be deemed triage. Nonetheless I answered the question. As I cant have my phone at work I have had to take the whole day off to wait for the call. Whether I will be allowed to have a face to face appointment remains to be seen but I now understand why my 91 year old father refuses to see the GP despite his ongoing health issues. I have been made to feel as if Im assumed to be faking it, or not really in need of a proper appointment. I am not a frequent attender and certainly not a time waster. Mostly I manage without seeing a doctor for precisely this reason. This is a totally unsatisfactory and difficult process for any patient, especially those who work and cant take calls. I joined this practice some years ago and it was a very good practice but sadly those days are long gone. I cant wait to find out if I will be allowed a real appointment or if Im going to be diagnosed over the phone - that well known holistic diagnostic tool!
The way the receptionist spoke to me this morning was appalling. What a rude person. Youre providing a service for sick people and should speak to them appropriately. If you are not up for the job I suggest seeking another.
