Had to phone emergency services for a neighbour that has been suffering only seen he's carer from the beacon twice man left on he's own no meds the place and its staff need investigating
Absolutely awful place, turn's down adults reaching out for help. Telling them "sorry your not mental enough lol". Place should be shutdown, staff are so rude. Just what you need in the middle of a mental breakdown.
They make empty promises, almost never return calls or pass on messages, and trying to get any actual help is like getting blood out of a stone 90% of the time. The only reason it got any stars at all was because my care coordinator is actually good at her job; sadly the system, the clear lack of funding, and the place itself (especially the reception staff who clearly do not care) make it so difficult to contact her or for her to put into place the provisions necessary. It needs a serious upheaval of how it practices. Supposed to support people with serious mental illness and yet half the time they make me feel worse. I'd never advise someone not to seek help, please do. However I'd advise you to hound them constantly and not to take no for an answer and to expect to feel at times like you don't matter, though, when you do seek it from there. It does get better though, don't give up people
I have attempted to work with the beacon on multiple occasions for multiple people, and I can only echo the statements that other reviewers have made. When you get an appointment, they'll tell you what treatment you should be having, and that they'll call you to arrange the treatment, and then never call you back. If you call them, they say they don't know what's happening and will call you back, and then never do. Given my multiple attempts through multiple people and experiencing the same situation time and time again, I can only conclude that this issue is deliberate and/or systemic.
Worst place to go an get help for you mental health problems they never call you back they leave you waiting in the waiting room. Never there on time to see you. Will always say they will call back but never do and then discharge you when you actually pluck up the courage to actually say something to them about the way they treat you this place needs to be managed by someone else and get new doctors in or close the place down
