Very basic b&b but clean rooms and polite staff. Hardly any parking but town is only a couple of hundred metres away.
Unfortunately disappointed stink in room been horrible. Room not ready on time receptionist many times not unviable. Hotel very poor dirty, location average.
Greeted and checked in by very nice young guy. Room was clean. Shower room new and clean. Bed/mattress the best my wife and I have ever slept on. Location not great. Narrow street full of parked cars. It was Bank Holiday weekend so no surprise it was busy but we did find a good parking space 5 minutes walk away. Breakfast was a mixed bag. Guy serving was nice young lad but needed more training. It was the first time anyone had fried an egg to my wife's liking, well done and flipped over. Unfortunately the rest of breakfast was poor. Slow service (get a catering frying pan so you can cook more than one breakfast at a time) Super Value bread makes dreadful toast. Sausages and beans cheap and nasty. Tomato jumped in and straight out the frying pan. Coffee in tiny pot (smaller than cup) ridiculously strong. They try hard but not quite getting it.
Sorry to say not a great place. Stated on_suite but not the case. Shared shower that is in the attic and almost impossible to have a decent shower. The room has secondary glazing....Good job as there is no actual pane of glass in the window. Wardrobe unsafe and brown stain on shelf. Drawer bottom falling out. Boil kettle on floor. Crack from ceiling to door and grease stains by the bed. Really needs a deep clean and decorating.
It's a cheap and cheerful hotel. Couldn't fault staff on their friendliness. I stayed in Room 10 on the top floor. The bed definitely needs a mattress replacement but I was able to sleep on it. The shower halfway down the stairs can be a little hazardous, watch your head! It's a shame I was not able to enjoy breakfast as it is only served from 8am. I'd happily stay here again if I'm working in the area.
